Nassau, Bahamas - July 2021!

This last-minute trip was OUTSTANDING! My cousin & I were unsure of where to go but this was her first choice. Like me, she invited a group of people for her birthday that didn’t show up, so we improvised, like always! This ended up being one of the best trips this year!!!

Twin’s Birthday Trip!

Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island

This resort was perfect, I would definitely go back! I booked it as a travel agent through their discounted site. The room was super clean and we had a partial ocean view! The food was sooooo yummy , the breakfast was my favorite. I tried to make it every morning. The pool was so nice! The beach was hot. We went parasailing and it was super fun, although I was nauseous after . Lol. The drinks were good. The bar had us lit every night , the bartenders made sure of that. haha! Everyone was nice except the miserable night shift front desk clerk that screamed at us to turn off our speaker or get out the pool at night. If you saw what he looked like , you would know why he is so miserable lmaoo, ole big back ass. Other than that, the ceasar salad and sandwiches from room service were pretty good. It was 24 hrs so it worked out!

British Colonial Hilton Nassau

It was nice to say the least, other than the fact our AC was broken .. so we had to change rooms. The bathrooms were a bit outdated and sink low. The food at their restaurant was great and on jet blue’s tab! We ate pizza, salad, and wings! The beach was really nice, we were right next to the cruising dock.

Excursions

Being out on the town was super fun! Nassau is beautiful and it is very up-to date which I didn’t know! The currency is equivalent to American dollars so everything made sense after that! Haha!

We did 3 excursions!

We went on a rum tour, that was super festive! We had rum cake and visited the Bob Marley Hotel and Cable Beach which was sooooooooo clear. The water was so warm, I went in with my clothes! Haha! We smoked cigars and tried different rum drinks! It was so hot out, I couldn’t wait to get in some water!!

Also, we went dune buggy riding through Nassau. This excursion was OK. We visited a bat cave, ate sub par food at a restaurant where they tried to charge us for water. Smh. Bahamas was alil money hungry if you ask me. But whatevsss lol, it was fun driving the buggies.

At the end of that excursion, we went to ”Da Pig Village” and fed the piggies! They swam in the water & I got a picture with one of the babies! Overall, it was a long day and we couldn’t wait for it to be over! Lol for the price, this excursion was sub par as stated!

THE BEST PART OF THE THE TRIP … FOR ME WAS VISITING FISH FRY! FISH FRY IS A STRIP OF RESTAURANTS, BARS, CLUBS, ETC! We wouldn’t have made the strip if our flight didn’t get cancelled. The strip was packed with people. Someone brought us a big frozen margarita. I ran into my favorite person who worked at Riu Palace. He happened to walk by me and finally spoke to me. We talked the whole night until it closed down. He bought me conch salad, which was refreshing but quite bland. He walked my cousin and I to the car and we went back to Hilton. This was our last night, and it was the best one .
